Terms of Use · Calisthenics Skills – Ranked

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Ranked is operated by Monica Dede Schmid, Fluhmattstrasse 40, 6004 Luzern, Switzerland, contact dylan.schmid538@gmail.com.

By using Ranked you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use the app.

1. What Ranked is

Ranked is a calisthenics training app. It rates your bodyweight strength on a nine-tier ladder, tracks your progress through skill progressions, and shows you where each region of your body stands. Everything it knows about your training lives on your phone — there is no account, no server-side profile and no comparison with other users.

Ranked is not a coach, a physiotherapist or a doctor, and nothing in it is medical advice. Calisthenics carries a real risk of injury. Skills like the planche, the front lever and the human flag load joints and connective tissue heavily. You train at your own risk, you are responsible for judging whether an exercise is safe for you, and you should get medical clearance if you have any reason to doubt it. If something hurts, stop.

2. Who may use Ranked

You must be at least 16 years old to use Ranked. The app asks for your age during setup because the rank formula depends on it; if you are younger than 16, do not use the app.

Ranked has no user accounts. You do not sign in, and nothing you enter is tied to a name or an email address. You are responsible for the device the app runs on and for what is entered there.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Ranked requires an active subscription. You can complete the initial assessment before you subscribe; the training features need a subscription.

Purchases are made through the App Store and are governed by Apple’s terms as well as these. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Where a free trial is offered, the purchase screen says so before you buy, and the trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings — we cannot cancel it for you. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the paid period. After that the app locks its training features until you subscribe again. Your training data is not deleted when a subscription ends — it stays on your device and is there again if you resubscribe.

Purchases belong to the Apple Account that made them. On a new device, or after reinstalling, use Restore Purchases in the app to get them back.

4. Your rank and your data

The rank Ranked gives you is a calculation from what you tell it and what you log. It is an estimate of relative strength using our own formula, and we may change that formula as the app is calibrated — your rank and your Power Level can go down as a result of a recalculation, not only because of your training. We will say so in the app when that happens.

Ranked’s ratings are our own. They are not certified, not standardised, and carry no meaning outside this app.

5. Honest entries

Progress in Ranked is self-reported. Nothing checks it, and nothing needs to: the rank exists to tell you where you stand, and an entry you did not earn only makes it lie to you. Enter what you actually did.

6. What you may not do

7. Content and ownership

The app, its exercise catalogue, its progression structure and its rank system belong to us. Your training data belongs to you, stays on your device, and we claim no rights over it.

8. Availability

We do not promise Ranked will always be available or error-free. Features may change or be withdrawn. We may end the service with reasonable notice. Because your training data is stored only on your device, ending the service does not take it away from you — but a version of the app that is no longer maintained may stop working with a future version of iOS.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of Ranked, including any training you undertake because of it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — for consumers in the EU and UK, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Lucerne, Switzerland. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live, including the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own country where that law grants it.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. The version published at this address is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Earlier versions remain visible in the public history of the repository these pages are published from. Continuing to use Ranked after a change means you accept it.

12. Apple

Ranked is distributed through the Apple App Store. These terms are between you and us, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of them.

⚠️ Not legal advice. Drafted by an engineer from the app’s actual behaviour, not by a lawyer, and not reviewed for any jurisdiction. Operator and jurisdiction fields are filled in as of 4 September 2026. Publishing this satisfies Apple; it does not make you compliant. Have a lawyer read it once the app earns money.
